Kourosh Fathi Vajargah, PhD, is a professor of Education at Shahid Behehsti (National) University of Iran, School of Education and Psychology and a guest professor at Leiden University, Netherlands. His interests include human resource development including coaching and mentoring, curriculum concerns in higher education, the use of technologies to support teaching and learning and curriculum studies in workplace learning and professional development He is also a founder of Iranian Society for Human Resource Training and Development (ISTD).

He has undertaken significant consultancy work for the Ministry of Education and various organizations, including: National Iranian Oil Company, Hormozgan Steel Company, Agricultural Bank, Sepah Bank, and Saman Bank, Iran Khodro Company, Ministry of Energy and numerous other industrial, commercial, and service organizations. He is also chief editor of Journal of Human Resource Training and Development and Journal of Management and Planning in Educational Systems. Prof. Kourosh Fathi Vajargah has published extensively on curriculum matters in higher education and informal learning. 

Among his most notable achievements and honors are: most cited professor in Educational Sciences over the past decade, according to ISC reports (2023), distinguished researcher, Shahid Beheshti University (2022), prominent face in Education and Human Resource Development (2018), highly referenced and influential researcher in Curriculum Studies, recognized by IASPER, top Humanities Researcher (ISC) in 2019, national award for excellence in humanities research, Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (2015), outstanding researcher, Shahid Beheshti University (2009), top researcher in Tehran Province, Tehran Governor’s Office (2007), first rank among National Scientific Poles, Ministry of Science, Research, and Technology (2007), distinguished faculty award, Iranian Curriculum Studies Association (2014) etc.
